“Study online and graduate on University campus”

This new Online Graduate Centre is specially designed to offer you the opportunity to study part-time University online degree programmes, from anywhere in the world. The educational partnership between Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU) and the Institute of Counselling (IoC) enables you to advance your personal and professional development through gaining a degree qualification. These online degree programmes are designed specifically for current practitioners working full time, part-time or in the voluntary sector seeking to advance or update their knowledge and skills and to gain an academic qualification.

ADMISSIONS - FLEXIBLE ENTRY

Since the admission criteria is designed for:

  • Normally three years’ practice experience as an accredited practitioner or advanced standing due to holding a senior position. Again your experience is recognised and valued.

  • Member of a UK professional body that is registered with the Professional Standards Authority in the UK. International professional bodies that have similar accreditation criteria will also be recognised.

ACADEMIC

RPL (RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING)

  • The University’s RPL policy will assist practitioners that are not yet ‘Accredited’ but are ‘Accreditable’ to enter the degree programme. ‘Accreditable’ means that you can prove by your current practice and qualifications that you are on your way to accreditation.
